HARPG referring to the actual game itself, not the group or community.

It's an odd title, but yes, there are some unspoken rules in the RPG that have existed since the game's creation. Some of these rules have been officialised into people's breeds and sub-groups of the community, some have not. I'm going to list off the few I can remember off the top of my head as a reference.

:bulletpurple: If you want to sell a foal offer it back to the person who designed it, the person who owns the sire or dam, or the person who owned it prior to you first.
This is something I had to deal with today. This rule has been used by people in the HARPG since the very beginning and is honestly just common courtesy amongst breeders. More popular groups like Nordanners and Cavitto have utilised this rule to protect their breeds from going unused or just flat out abused. This seems to have touched a few nerves with people who feel reclaiming goes against their ownership rights and that horses may be reclaimed unjustly. Whether that's a case or not the fact stands that if you don't agree with the game's rules you probably shouldn't play.

:bulletpurple: Don't kill off horses without leaving documentation of their existence that is easily accessible for people who own their offspring.
It's a massive dick move to just delete horses from the game. Especially if those horses are part of a long lineage or have active offspring. In the past this type of behaviour has been used as a punishment for people who have a falling out. It's extremely petty and brings the entire community down. Especially now that breeds like the aforementioned Nordanners and Cavittos and even the Harlequines are so keen on keeping records of lineages, bloodlines, and offspring. Don't mess up someone's lineage just because you have a vendetta against someone else.

:bulletpurple: Don't steal people's ideas.
This one speaks for itself.

:bulletpurple: Don't screw people over if you owe them something.
Again, speaks for itself. Pay your debts.

:bulletpurple: Don't assume these rules don't apply to you simply because you're not affiliated with the HorseArt-RPG group.
Lotta people have branched off from the group for one reason or another. Even the game's creator runs an independent stable now. These unspoken rules still apply because all of them are based on common courtesy. They all boil down to just not being a dick to other people.

:new: :bulletpurple: Don't remove, store, or delete art of horses you've sold.
Just leave a little message at the top of the artist's description that says "Sold to ____ (link to new ref)". You can put the deviation in your scraps or just move it out of the featured folder, just don't delete it.

These are the ones I can remember off the top of my head but I have had a long day and am quite hungry so if you remember more let me know~

And also if you know someone who has ignored or abused these rules call them out in a comment because chances are they're someone I don't want to deal with and don't want involved in my stable. This is a safe zone for calling out dickweeds~

I'll sign off with this: If you don't want to be judged by your past don't make the same mistakes over and over again. Hunny, you're more transparent than a crystal glass~

"Dont delete competition journals" should be added as a lot of breed groups take off the points for non-verifiable placings
